Describe a famous river in your country

You should say:

how long the river is

where the river locates in

what it looks like

and explain why it is famous

Ready? Let’s get it!

Speaking of a river that is known by the majority of our people, I definitely need to bring out what we called “Chang jiang”, also known as the Yangtze River. As I remember, the first time I got to know this river was actually during a Geography class in primary school, our teacher told us literally almost everything about it.

02

So, here is the deal, not just me, everyone here in my country is familiar with the Yangtze river, no matter what age group you’re in, we are all told that the Yangtze river is a magnificent natural masterpiece. It’s extremely long which travel across the whole country, winding from the west to east. Maybe, you have also heard of the Yellow river, together with it, these two have shaped the Chinese culture for sure. Well, let me tell you, poets in ancient times have written countless poems appreciating the river. Also, it has a long-lasting influence on the agricultural production around the region as well, I’m not quite sure about what specific changes the river has done though, I just know it. And, umm, oh, one last thing I want to mention is that, along the river, there are quite a lot extraordinary natural beauties as well as a few artificial spots, they are worthy of a visit I can assure you.

I guess the time is running out, I probably need to wrap thing up. So, generally, everyone here in this country can’t live without the Yangtze river, I suppose me the same. It’s really a pity that I couldn’t go out and see more about it, I will definitely do that more frequently in the future if there is time.
